to Museums or Monuments Lunch AvailabilitySometimes
I can be booked just a couple of hours before you want to start your tour.
However… this is not always possible! I strongly advise to contact me as soon
as possible to check out my availability for the day you’ll be visiting
Barcelona. And if I wasn’t available for those dates, I will recommend you
colleagues of mine that are completely reliable and knowledgeable. ►► Now you
can check out my availability here: I take
bookings on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the tour reservation has
been finalized and I have received your deposit, nothing will make me cancel
it: you can rely on me! For last
minute bookings, feel free to call me: 0034 629492731. Tour length and feesMy fees are based on the minimum fees
established by the Professional Association of Barcelona Tour Guides. They
cover all explanations, guiding, and assistance you might need during the
tour or while planning it. However, they do not include entrances to museums or monuments, transportation (unless you choose the “Transportation
included” option), nor the guide lunch (when
applicable). CITY TOURS:
However, many people prefer to have a full day city tour so they have more time to enjoy the sights or to see as much as possible. A full day are upto 8 hours.
CULTURAL AND NATURE
DAY TRIPS OUT OF TOWN: FEES: Pricing depends on number of
hours (half day or full day), number of people (there is an extra
charge for extra people for groups larger than 20), transportation needs
(transportation included or not), and in case you are booking a
Transportation Included option, then also the distance from destination
and tolls. This is why different destinations are charged different
prices. LENGTH: All half day tours last for upto
5 hours. Most full day tours upto 8 hours, except a few destinations that are
further from Barcelona and therefore the trip lasts upto 10 hours. ►► Click here

Reservations in advance (recommended
to ensure availability): once your tour request has been accepted, you will
be asked to transfer 20% of the total amount via Pay Pal (instructions will be sent to you
when you are ready to finalize the booking). The deposit must be sent at least
15 days before the tour date, otherwise your reservation will be cancelled. The
remaining amount will be paid cash in Euros at the end of the tour. No traveler
checks, foreign currency nor credit cards accepted.
Customized tours: Due to the time
investment and effort that the preparation of a new tour requires, customized
tours (other than regular city tours or combinations of listed trips out of town) must be booked in advanced (see
conditions in the respective section),
and the 20% deposit must be sent at least 30 days before the tour date.
Last minute reservations
and reservations in less than 15 days notice: instructions will be given
depending on each case.
Cancellations:
Reservation deposits will not be returned in case of cancellation of the tour.
A service can be cancelled until 48h before the scheduled time to start the
tour, with no extra charge. If the tour is cancelled less than 48h before the
tour starts, the client must pay the 100% fee.
TRANSPORTATION INCLUDED option:
Car or minivan with
private driver. I will hire for you
a top class car or van with driver that will take us where we want and wait for
us while we are visiting the sites. When making the reservation you must
specify the number of people in your group, so I can book the most suitable type
of vehicle. The price is calculated for up to 6 people + guide + driver: if
your group is larger, please feel free to ask for a budget for a bigger bus.
ATTENTION: For these option deposits are ABSOLUTELY required. We are sorry
this option might not be available for short notice bookings.
When transportation is not included:
Only in the city:
On foot. The
center of Barcelona is quite walkable, and some of my tours can be completely
made on foot. However, other monuments are too far and must be reached by some
other means of transportation.
Taxi
/ Cab. Cabs are usually easy to find in the city, and most monuments have
taxi stops nearby. They accept up to 4 passengers (3 clients + guide).
In the city and out of town:
Public
transportation.
In Barcelona: our metro network is fast and
modern, and our buses are slower but let you enjoy the city landscape better.
Buy 10-trips cards (they can be shared by several people) or individual day
passes, and please include one for the guide!
Out of town: In many cases it is possible to
reach great sites out of town by train or bus. Contact me, and I’ll inform you
of availability, schedules and prices for the tour you are interested in.
Your
own car, or one you rented. I won’t drive, but I’ll be glad to navigate
you.
In Barcelona: Not a good recommendation, as it
is not always easy to find a place to park, and you risk wasting time trying to
find it. Or else you can pay underground parking areas or blue parking meters.
Out of town: good idea for a day trip, although
in most tourist places you must be prepared to pay for parking and possible
tolls.
² Why won’t I drive? For three main reasons:
1. LAW. In Spain is illegal working as a driver without a specific professional driving license, which I don’t have.
2. SAFETY. Unfortunately, I don’t
consider my driving skills good enough to be able to drive you around while
keeping a nice conversation with you and answering your questions…
3. QUALITY SERVICE. If I don’t need to
care about the traffic, I can dedicate all my attention to you. I can answer
questions, talk about the history of the city or the next monument we are going
to visit, recommend you restaurants or things to do during the rest of your
stay, point at interesting things we might see passing by, use a map to show
you how much of the city we are covering in our tour...
I give you
completely freedom to decide in which monuments or museums you wish to spend
your money paying an entrance fee. I can recommend you the best options and
tell you beforehand what are you going to see inside if you decide to pay, and
then it is up to you to decide if that can be of you interest or not. Be sure
that if we go in, I’ll make your visit more than worthy. And if you decide to
just see it from outside… we’ll have a lot of fun as well taking pictures from
the best spots and I’ll also show you details you might not have noticed on
your own!
à Advantages of visiting museums
or monuments with a guide. Official guides have special privileges and
priority in most museums, so we won’t have to wait in the line. Apart from
that, in some places we are offered special discounts for our clients.
Furthermore, we know the site perfectly well and will take you to the most
important paintings / pieces / spots and make sure you don’t miss a thing!
à Reservations. If your group
is smaller than five persons, we won’t need reservation. Groups larger than
five people should tell me in advance and I’ll take care of everything.
This is
only applicable for full day tours (city or out of town). In this case it is
compulsory to stop for lunch. The customer has the right to choose the time and
place (large groups must reserve in advance) and must pay for the lunch of the
guide as well. I can recommend you many places depending on your favorite food:
Spanish tapas, fine cuisine, local food or even just some sandwiches to go. Use
lunchtime to enjoy our gastronomy and feel free to keep asking questions!
